ITINERARY

Embark on a breathtaking cycling adventure from Sai Gon to Phan Thiet, where you’ll experience the beauty of southern Vietnam like never before. This cycling tour offers a perfect blend of stunning coastal landscapes, vibrant local culture, and the thrill of exploration as you pedal through this enchanting region.

OPEN ALL DAYS 
Day 1: Sai GonLong Hai

Dep to SGN and transfer from Airport to best Pho breakfast in HCMC.
We adjourn for Coffee and Mechanics will assemble and prepare bikes. Ride will start form Can Gio where we will use ferries to Vung Tau. This will be a good chance to familiarise yourself with riding in Vietnam.

Day 2: Long HaiPhan Thiet

We ease into our ride with a gentle 64km ride to Minera Hot Springs. This ride will be following the gentle undulating hills heading to the coast. After lunch, we will refresh ourselves with a dip in the natural mineral pools to help your legs recover from the ride!

Day 3: Phan ThietBau Trang

This will be this will be an endurance day with a long but rewarding 80 km ride along some of Southern Vietnam’s finest coastal roads. With excellent paved roads and low traffic, this will be a good place to test you and your bike for speed. There will be detours along the way for refreshments, photo ops and to ensure we get to appreciate the stunning views and sand dunes of Phan Thiet.

Day 4: Phan ThietHo Chi Minh City

We have free time to enjoy the beach in the morning while mechanic will be cleaned, packed bikes as we begin. After Lunch our bus journey back to Saigon to the Airport. Perfect to catch some shut eye.

What to Expect

This trip has an Cycling rating of moderate; Cyclist should be in good health and comfortable ride at average 28-30 km/h. Moderate tours include long rides on flat terrain, and some challenging climb, with average daily climbing under 200 meters.. Please note that there are several travel days.

Throughout the trip, we stay in ideally located, high-end hotels with many amenities.

GranFondo Support Team
A mechanic, support vehicles and a Leader will accompany this trip, You will be led by a local English-speaking guide who are well versed on the ride, background and culture of the area where you are biking and are skilled at passing that knowledge on to you.

Transportation
We have arranged all of your transportation needs during your stay in Vietnam as specified in your trip itinerary. When spending time on your own, you may choose to visit a site that requires transportation. If this is the case, your Leader will happily recommend convenient transportation options.

EQUIPMENT & BIKE RENTAL

We encourage people to bring their own bicycles as it is easy to transport bicycles in Vietnam. We believe that having a familiar bike will be advantageous on unfamiliar roads. Please make sure that your road bicycle is in good mechanical order prior to the trip. However, in the case that you require to hire bikes locally, we can try our best to provide you one based on your size and is subject to availability.

Wheels size: We mostly ride on 25C road tyres and seldom have punctures but of course the wider tyres do provide added comfort.
